Fiona qualified as a midwife over 21 years ago and is passionate about supporting people to have the best possible experience of pregnancy and birth. Her experience spans community-based care through to leading maternity urgent care services. She has spent several years working strategically, including roles as a community matron and more recently in maternity transformation within the North West London Integrated Care System. A period working in the NHS in Scotland during the COVID-19 pandemic provided valuable insight into healthcare delivery from a different perspective. As Lead Midwife for the network, she is committed to ensuring that midwives remain at the heart of care for pregnant people with medical complexities.
